Servicing & Repairs

At F. Meeks & Co we specialise in both watch and clock servicing and repairs. All work is carried out in-house by our specialised team with over 40 years of experience. We cater for both the trade and public, maintaining a high standard of work for all customers.

With a large stock in obsolete watch parts, we can service and repair most vintage mechanical timepieces which would otherwise be unsalvageable. If we are not able to source parts internally, we have strong relationships with several suppliers who could provide most parts required.

We provide free, no obligation estimates to all customers. You can bring your timepiece into our store, based in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter, UK, or send it to us via postal service. If you decide to post your timepiece to us, please contact us prior to postage so that we are aware of your query.

Whether you visit us in store or post your timepiece into us, our experienced team will be able to discuss your needs and will inspect all timepieces before you are quoted, and any work commences.

Watches

All watch repairs and servicing are carried out in-house by our experienced team. We can work on both mechanical and quartz movement watches, new or old. A number of services we provide are:

  • Mechanical movement servicing and overhauls.

  • Restorations.

  • Replacement parts.

  • Stem and button replacements.

  • Replacement quartz movements and circuit boards.

  • Pressure testing.

  • Case cleaning & polishing.

We can service and repair both luxury and vintage watches at a competitive price. Once our team has assessed your timepiece, we will then be able to provide you with a quotation for the work detailing the steps that will be taken.

Clocks

With our dedicated workshop for clocks, we provide a professional service for overhaul and repairs, catering from carriage clocks to grandfather clock movements. Our team will carefully dismantle the clock, ensuring all items are given the same amount of care. The movement will then be inspected before any further work is carried out and you will be contacted with a quotation.

Our workshop is fully furnished with the tools and equipment required for all major overhauls and restorations of clock movements. We are also able to repair brass dials.

Please come into store or contact us to discuss your requirements further, so that we can advise you on the best course of action to keep your timepiece ticking.

Please note, if you have a large clock you wish for us to repair or service, we ask that the clock movement be brought into our store directly.
